This 6-day experience will take you to the far northeast of Uganda where you will interact with the flora and fauna in Uganda’s most remote National Park. Kidepo is exceptionally good for game viewing. You will also get a chance to visit the world’s most powerful waterfall, while here you will enjoy game viewing on a boat ride to the bottom of the falls, an experience like no other.

Day 01

Arrival at Entebbe airport and transfer to hotel.

Upon Arrival, you will be met by a representative of Footprints Safaris and transferred to your Hotel in Entebbe for the night. Check in and dinner. Meal Plan (B & B)

Day 02

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park (570kms, 10 hrs)

On this day, you will wake up very early at the hotel and prepare for a long drive to the Uganda’s most remote National Park. Your guide/ driver will pick you and after briefing, you will set off. You will drive via Gulu road through Gulu and Kitgum to Lukmoit gate. You will then check in at your Lodge, have dinner and rest. Meal Plan Lunch & dinner.

Alternatively, on this travel day, to reduce on the travel fatigue, you can spend the night in Kitgum, the rise up very early the following day to enter Kidepo Valley National Park. Distance from Kitgum to the Lukumoit gate is about 140kms and takes about 2 hours 30 mins.

Day 03

Full Day Game Drives in Kidepo Valley National Park.

Today after a very heavy hearty breakfast, you will go for an exciting game drive across the savannah, mountains and pure wilderness around you. You will see lots of animals. You will have a game drive to Karankorog with lots of wildlife on the way. You will come back for lunch at the lodge.

After lunch in the evening, you will embark on another game drive along the Narus Valley, prolific throught the year, but doubly so in the dry season when the Narus River is the only reliable water source for miles around. The valley can be explored along two excellent loops, these are the Kakine Circuit, whose center piece Kakine Rocks is often frequented by Lions. The second is Katurum circuit. On both circuits, your guide will help you see large numbers of Elephants, buffalos, Lions, Rothschilds Giraffe, Burchells Zebra, wathorg, Jacksons Heartbeests, Bohor reedbuck oribi and other Mammals.

For birders, Kidepo boasts of a bird population of over 470 bird species second only to queen Elizabeth National Park and includes more than 60 birds recorded in no other Ugandan National Park. After the game drives, you will drive back to the Lodge, have dinner and rest. Meal Plan FB.

Uganda’s most remote and third largest national park, Kidepo lies in the northeast karamoja sub region. It was voted Africa’s third best wilderness park in the 2013 CNN Travel Awards. The park boasts of over 80 Mammal species with about 20 resident predator species.

Day 04

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. (400kms 6hrs)

On this day, you will wake up early at the Lodge and have breakfast. After Breakfast you will check out and your guide/ driver will brief you about the journey. You will then exit and head for Murchison Falls National Park, the World’s most powerful waterfall. Affter 5-6 hours of driving, you will arrive and check in at your Lodge, have dinner, rest and prepare to experience this park the following day. Meal Plan FB

Day 05

Game drive, boat trip and nature walk.

Early rise at the Lodge, after breakfast, your guide will brief u about the day’s activities and start the day with the game drive in the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing the Rothchild’s Giraffe, elephants, lions, Jacksons Hartebeests, Oribis, Waterbucks, different bird species, and if it’s your lucky day, you will see the elusive Leopard.

 Murchison Falls National Park supports at least 144MammalSpecies, 556 bird species, 51 reptile species and 51 amphibian species. It supports the world’s largest population of the endangered Rothschilds Giraffe, estimated at almost 1,000 based on surveys undertaken in 2012,

In the afternoon, after lunch, enjoy a boat lunch on the Nile to the bottom of the falls and hike to the top of the falls where you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the World’s most powerful water fall. Head back to your Lodge, dinner and overnight. Meal Plan FB

Day 06

Travel Back to Entebbe. (4hr 50 mins 315Km)

wake up early and have breakfast at the Lodge. Prepare and set off for Entebbe, your journey should take you approximately 5 hours. Arrival in Entebbe, end of our service Breakfast and Lunch
