Overview

Kenya is where the safari was born and is what most people picture when they think of going on safari, inspired by countless wildlife documentaries. Iconic destinations such as the Masai mara, Amboseli, the Great Rift Valley evoke scenes from Out of Africa. Guests on a bespoke vacation by Footprint’s Safaris can discover the Great Migration in style while staying at bespoke camps and lodges which give top tier service, attention to detail and world-class guiding.

Of course, the main drawcard is seeing the Great Migration from August to November, a highlight of which is seeing river crossings when the herds of wildebeest have to evade crocodiles while crossing the Mara River. Kenya’s private reserves and national parks offer some of the best game viewing and safaris in Africa.
