South Africa is often called the Rainbow nation due to its diverse mix of cultures. This also applies to the range of experiences which guests can have in the country. Having emerged from the oppressive apartheid regime, under Nelson Mandela, South Africa went through a process of reconciliation and flourished. The Eastern Cape region offers many private reserves where guests can enjoy family-friendly safaris which are malaria-free. The warm waters of the Indian Ocean off the city of Durban and sandy golden beaches attract beach lovers to this region.

South Africa has twelve official languages and many diverse cultures. Guests can discover the cuisine of the Cape Malay people and the traditions and cultures of the Xhosa and Zulu people while in the country.
