Day 01

Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park 6hrs 30mins (400kms)

Your tour Guide/ Driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe, he will brief you on the journey and you will then set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Mityana road, the drive is roughly 6hrs and 30 mins depending on the stop overs. Via Fort Portal and Mpondwe road. Stop over at Mubende for Short calls and snacks for those that want. Continue on Mityana road and Stop in Portal town for lunch at Gardens Hotel for lunch. After Lunch, your Guide will take you through the crater hike through both the Kasenda and Rwetera Crater lakes clusters if time allows. You will later continue to queen Elizabeth National Park Via Mpondwe Road. Arrival and check in at the Lodge Meal Plan FB.

Day 02

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early rise at the Lodge for Breakfast. Your Guide will brief you about the day’s activities and you will head for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is Uganda second largest park with an open grass land which makes game viewing easier. The Park boasts of over 95 Mammal species, your guide should help you spot for lions, elephants, leopards, antelopes, and many other mammal Species. You will later head to the Mweya peninsula where you can Break for lunch as your Guide prepares the boat for the launch.

Queen Elizabeth is a park of many parts, in the form tourist sites that technically lie outside its boundaries but are most often visited in conjunction with it like Kalinzu forest, Lake Katwe, Kyambura wildlife reserve and Kasenyi fishing Village.

After Lunch, you guide will lead you to the boat on the Kazinga channel. This channel is 33 kilometers long and 2 to 3 kms wide. On this two-hour boat ride that runs out of the Mweya Peninsula, you will be able to see more large Herds of elephants, buffalo and Hippos. You should also be able to see, crocodiles, monitor lizards and many bird species. After the boat ride, your guide will take you through a crater drive as you head back to the Lodge. Meal Plan FB

Day 03

Transfer to Rwenzori National Park 1 hr. (60 km)

On this day, after your breakfast, you will check out of your Lodge transfer to Rwenzori Mountains National Park. The two national parks are located in the same region therefore it will take averagely one hour.  Arrival at the base camp, check in and have lunch. After your lunch, you can decide to do a community tour and interact with the welcoming locals

Day 04

Start trekking from the base camp (1615m) to Omuka Kiiza Camp (2,977 mtrs)

With your guide you will trek through a lush forested ridge with breath taking and the Mubuku river trailing along the valley. The forest is home to a multitude of birds.

The Rwenzori vegetation can be devided into several altitude Zones., each with its own micro climate, flora and fauna. This zone around 1,800m is known as the Afro-montane Forest zone and has the most flora and fauna.

Day 05

Omuka Kiiza camp to Lake Mahoma camp (3,515 mtrs)

After breakfast, you will head to lake Mahoma. The trail is dominated by the Bamboo and heather forest. You will be following the forest elephant trails as you trail their footmarks, sometimes with ponds of water. Other common sight will be the giant lobelia and everlasting flowers, later on the trail.

Day 06

Complete the Mahoma trail trek today to Nyakalengija gate.

Today’s journey starts with descending to the base camp via Nyabitaba camp through the central circuit trail. The trail will be forested with heather and bamboo forest before you pass by Nyabitaba camp and ranger post in the Mubuku valley. Descend to the park gate. Common sight will be the lush forested trail, monkeys and the three horned chameleons. Arrive at the Base camp in the afternoon. Head back to the lodge, relax have a meal, Meal Plan FB.

Day 07

Travel Back to Kampala. 6 hrs. (400km)

On this day, you wake up at the Lodge and have breakfast. After breakfast, your guide will brief you about the journey. You will then set of and drive back to Kampala. Our service ends when you arrive your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
